Hart move confirmed

Joe Hart will spend next season on loan with Barclays Premier League rivals Birmingham after the newly-promoted club agreed a deal for the highly-rated England Under-21 goalkeeper.

Hart heads south with manager Mark Hughes' blessing, having lost his first-team spot when Republic of Ireland keeper Shay Given joined in the January window and admitted that his time on the Blues bench has been the most frustrating of his young career.

A good move for Hart in what is a World Cup year, but the move only be stalling an inevitable bigger decision over his future for another season. Still, Hart seemed fairly laissez-faire about the whole situation that sees him leave on loan:

"It has been tough. It's frustrating, but there's only one person can play in goal and Shay's doing that at the moment. I've had to deal with it the best I can. It's not been ideal, but it's not the end of the world."
