Bitter and Blue Player of The Year award

Just under a week to go now until the 2006/07 season draws to a (merciful?) close so I've reposted this to give anyone who may have missed it originally a chance to vote/comment on their own Player of The Year award which I'll be posting up around the middle of next week....

Last year saw the inaugral Bitter and Blue end of season awards, and I'll be running the awards once again at the end of the season.

One of the categories I put in last time round was a readers player of the year award which was quite interesting to gather the views of everyone who stops by the site.

Again, like last season there isn't perhaps a clear cut winner and I would say there are two or three candidates likely in the mix. As a reminder, this is how last seasons awards panned out

So, with just a couple of games to go here is your chance to get your choice across. Feel free to either email me or fill up the comments section.

vote it up!

struggling this time ..... even the groundsman hasn't been as good as last year.

I'm going to be controversial and vote for Weaver; this was the season he made the comeback few thought he ever would, and he didn't do too shabby a job of it either.

Part of me wants to pick Distin, but when it comes down to it, I just have to go with Dunne. The man is a rock in defense, and given our failure to score goals this season, I fear we would be relegated were it not for him.

hmmmm.... my vote goes to Sun, worked rely hard for the team since coming back from injury not full of quality i admit but has shown more passion for the club than any other

Dunne or Distin. Barton has been our best player on the pitch but his immaturity and bad behavior off the pitch must disqualify him.

I should also mention that Mpenza deserves an award of some sort. Maybe "Club Savior" is appropriate.

Gotta be dunnie.
ever present and been key this season.

Ordinarily I'd go for the Dunnymonster. So many attackers have gone into the games thinking Dunne was slow - he's torn them all up for arsepaper, it's been great. But yes, I'd probably vote for M'penza. A breath of fresh air, doing what we should have been doing all season.
