McDonald joins Walsall on loan

Not a huge deal in the context of transfer deadline day, but young defender Clayton McDonald has joined Walsall on loan for a month:

THE SADDLERS have completed the one-month loan signing of giant central defender, Clayton McDonald from Manchester City.

The 20 year-old, who is the son of former Walsall striker, Rodney McDonald, stands at 6'6" tall and his progression through the City ranks has seen him skipper the reserves.

He got his first taste of senior action with a loan spell at Macclesfield Town at the start of the 2008/09 season before ending last term on loan at Chesterfield.

vote it up!
