Big night from Joe Hart

A big performance from Joe Hart saw England under-21 side through to the final of the European Championships against Germany.

This despite throwing away a 3-0 half-time (with Nedum Onouha grabbing one of the goals) to see Sweden level at 3-3. Not only did Hart make a couple of crucial saves but he netted England's second penalty in the shoot-out.

A big downside for Hart though was his booking during the spot kicks which now sees him miss out on the final as any appeal is likely to be turned down.

vote it up!

The more I have seen of Hart in the tournament the more I can see why Hughes brought in Given. Pearce almost lost the game with his back pedalling defensive tactics in the second half.

It sounds ridiculous to criticize him after he saved a penalty and scored one but i know exactly what you mean.

He looks the part and has the size and physique to be a top class keeper but somehow he doesn't inspire confidence.

Let's hope more experiance will see him improve but to me he seems to have stopped progressing.

Mind you one of our greatest ever keepers,Joe Corrigan, was absolutely rubbish at first,so much so that we broke the transfer record for a keeper to sign Keith McRae to replace him.

Joe got back in due to an injury to 'kippers' McRae and the rest is history!
