Jo scores twice on debut

Would you believe it...

An impressive debut from Jo helped inspire Everton to a comfortable victory at home to Bolton.

Everton dominated from the outset and should have taken the lead after just two minutes, but Tim Cahill sliced wide from inside the six yard box.

Several missed chances followed but Mikel Arteta's coolly taken penalty put the home side in front.

Jo volleyed home a second and the Brazilian capped his debut with another from the penalty spot in injury time.

It took Jo nearly 2 months to score and here it takes him 90 minutes. What the Hell?

Jo was playing brilliantly early on in the season alongside Elano and Robinho. Not banging goals in, although everyone could see that was going to come, but making space, holding the ball up, and dragging defenders out of position - remember the Liverpool game?

MH soon broke that partnership up by dropping Elano, and we've never played as well since. Jo's never had a chance to show what he can do, and couldn't be blamed for taking the Everton opportunity. I would just like to know which genius thought it was a good idea to help Everton win the only European spot we could possibly hope for.

Doesn't take a genius to work it out...
