City v Racing Santander open thread

Open thread for today's game which does have a little more riding on it than hoped, with Santander needing a win to keep their hopes of qualification alive whilst a win for ourselves would secure top spot and avoid the Champions League 'drop outs' (current qualifiers here).

Team wise, Richard Dunne misses the trip along with Jo and with the injuries we have it won't give Hughes much opportunity to experiment - although given the need to win the group I'd be surprised if he played anything other than his strongest side.

vote it up!

We are desperate for league points, which must take priority, so the obvious thing to do would be to rest some of our important players like Ireland (I never thought I'd ever be saying that!)But with so many injury problems, there is a shortage of alternatives. I wouldn't be against giving some of our juniors a taste of european action. Is Johnson fit yet? I think Ireland has looked tired in the last couple of games, I would leave him out tonight along with SWP.

The match is on live TV here in the US on GOLTV. Are they showing the match live in the UK?

This has been woeful thus far. Hopefully the boys can regroup and show some fighting spirit in the second half.
