In memory of Marc-Vivien Foe

Today marks the fifth anniversary of the death of Marc-Vivien Foe who died on the pitch whilst playing for Cameroon against Colombia in Lyon on June 26th 2003, tragically cutting short a life way too early.

By all accounts he was a tremendously popular player and person for all those who encountered him during his far too brief season with the club back in 2002/03.

There are plenty of sites still dedicated to him, including a memorial site which is dedicated to continuing his work back in his home country of Cameroon.

May he continue to rest in peace.

I miss him too - that midfield pairing was something else. I'd like to see Charlie being given more chances in front of the defence, I think his potential was there for all to see for Croatia.
