Mills to join Doncaster

Doncaster Rovers have agreed a deal to sign Matt Mills from Premier League side Manchester City.

The 21-year-old has been on loan at Doncaster this season and played a starring role in Sunday's League One play-off final win over Leeds United.

Rovers chairman John Ryan told BBC Radio Sheffield: "Mills said he would be more than delighted to sign for Doncaster Rovers."

The defender is expected to cost the club around £300,000.

No great surprise to see Mills head for the exit door given both the lack of progress he has made during his time at the club, and the advancement of the likes of Micah Richards and Nedum Onouha.

vote it up!

certainly not a great loss on performances played for City plus all the hype given by Wigley/Pearce- shame it was not Walcott instead coming to City.
Fair fee with hopefully an add on clause.
re:transfer gossip/deals.With all the upheaval at COMS what has to happen btwn now and the 15th June?
1.Chelski/Milan will decide who will be their manager.
2.Scolari will be in the midst of his Euro (15th vs SW) final group game .
3.If as we r 2 believe Rolandino could sign for the Blues -who will be the manager to manage him(+ego) and be able to persuade him to play vs Barnet (no offence) on the first Saturday of January 2009 after all the Xmas fixtures.
4.Valuable time is being lost with current staff not knowing much more than us and if they read newspapers then perhaps there will not be a club to return to.
Previous targets suchas Modric have been snapped up.All the hype regarding JO AND Dos Santos for weeks on end until they are snapped away as well.Note no players from EPL mentioned.
4.Finally the main winner from all whats going on at the mo is Agent #1-Pini Zahavi.
Try to keep the faith.
