The show of support for Sven from the stands has dominated the headlines from yesterday's game and glossed over what appeared to be a fairly insipid performance, despite spells where we had displayed some neat passages of play and passing moves.

Whilst Sven has the backing of the overwhelming majority of fans (not to mention the press and those in the game), there is an overwhelming air of inevitably about the situation and the season really can't come quickly enough to bring matters to a close before off-field issues begin to turn into a circus.


It is often remarked that one of Sven's biggest accomplishments from this season, was the way in which he assembled a capable squad that challenged at the top end of the table despite arriving at the club so late in the day.

I cannot see any other outcome other than the club and Sven parting ways, so for the sake of all at the club, the decision needs to made sooner rather than later.
