Kevin Keegan : Never EVER go back

' I haven't watched a game of football since , when was the last Manchester City Match ? '
'I have all the help I needed since I took the job, but I have not quite been good enough'
He said that Manchester City would be his last job in football and just two weeks ago ruled out a return to club management.
Mike Ashley seems to have changed his mind, and the two of them together obviously buy into the geordie myth that they are a ' big club' 'underachieving' the heart truly is ruling the head.
I don't wish KK any ill , in fact I respect his reign that brought us a brilliant championship season and established us a premiership club before the wind blew out of the sails and, I like the guy !!
One of the saddest sights in football for me was seeing him sat on the bench coat zipped halfway up his face, arms crossed completely clueless as to how tactically to put things right as the money dried up and his knowledge was called into question.
He got measured, he came up short. He wont be with the deluded army for more than a year, i am sure of it.

vote it up!

Mixed feelings- I love the guy and still miss him but watching fat geordies in T-shirts blubbing is hilarious...

Keegan is not a good manager, yes he got City into the prem but we would have come back up no matter who was incharge with the players we had. True a couple of good signings meant we did it in style but after that Keegan just signed the obvious or a few of his mates.

Newcastle will be sorry. As Keegan said himself he has not watched a match of football for around three years, what does he know?

The Geordies really are gluttons for punishment, do they really think KK can do anything like he did last time round, i admire his passion and spirit but he's not a good manager when the shit hits the fan he's clueless and skulks off with his tail between his legs, he should devote his time to getting teams into the premiership its all he's good for.

Being a Newcastle fan was never meant to be this hard! just when i thought things were looking up, after the return of legendary Geordie, Kevin Keegan, i go and read this article on some online sports spread betting company (follow link to see the article) that is already writing off his chances of turning round the clubs fortunes. This got me thinking, after seeing managers sacked after relatively short periods of time and new gaffer’s chances being talked down before even one game in charge, along these lines...

Are the football managers of today given enough time? I personally believe time is the answer - look at fergie at man u and Wenger at arsenal... My beloved Newcastle will never improve unless a manager with reasonable knowledge of the game is given time to put structures in place... I know its a cliché, but these people in the media and at this spread betting company site are putting the pressure on Chairmen and club owners to sack managers without thinking about long term managers. It angers me intensely reading the kind of stuff i saw on sporting index this morning! Read it for yourself and let me know what you think...
