West Ham prediction
A tricky start perhaps although I am surprised that not too many have picked West Ham to struggle this season, given their large turnover of players - and more crucially have lost their better players.
The media glare will be at Upton Park tomorrow, given the 'big boys' are not playing until Sunday and it is a difficult one to predict given what is a largely unknown pair of squads.
I have a feeling there will be a couple of mistakes tomorrow as players get familiar with one another, so my prediction is a 2-2 draw.

I am a west ham fan and I feel it could be close as well. You could easily say that both clubs have lost some really good players, yet both teams have bought in some more. I'm bound to be slightly biased but the West Ham players have been together longer.Maybe that could just pip it? who knows.
"Lost their better players"...
Like who?
Reo Coker?
Benayoun?
Harewood?
Konchesky?
This season we have:
Ashton
Parker
Ljungberg
Bellamy
I reckon we are much stronger!
I can see City struggling to tay up this season.
2-0 to the Hammers
"both clubs have lost some really good players"
Er. Who? Dintstay and Thuglife?
That's two: is two "some"? "Really" good? "REALLY" good?

Don't you just love the cut and thrust of intellectual debate? !! I don't actually think we'll get much from this match - or the one against Derby either. We'll just be using them as practice games to get ourselves up for the big one. I agree with Sven - nobody will be judging us against the first couple of nothing teams.

I would say Bennayoun, Reo-Coker and Harewood have been the better performers over the past couple of seasons, and don't forget guys there is no Tevez, who pretty much kept you up?
I'm not overly keen on the signings Curbishley has made, he seems to be trying to throw money at anyone and everyone.
Wigan Blue - I think 4 points is definitely achievable from the first two games. Looking at the fixtures after that, it doesn't make for easy reading.
West Ham booed off the field at half time. Just like last season for them then.
Actually makes a change for us - not hurting at all. This could be really good for us - our practice matches could be better than we ever expected.
All those lovely West Ham supporters with their interesting comments may have to have a total rethink about their pricks. Not big enough you tossers. 34,000 - not enough to survive in the Premiership.
Boa Morte & Bowyer off - cheers from the crowd.
Also, Lancashire beat Yorkshire by an innings and 176 runs. Everything is turning out as it should be - life is proceeding exactly as it should.
Teentsy weentsy little willies never do the business. Go home you tossers!
I think 2-0 to City. One goal in each half.
