There was a time...

Being outplayed by supposed 'inferior sides', players on inflated wages playing with no pride or heart, tactical naivety, a manager under fire, half the side blatantly not upto scratch, disillusioned supporters complaining about anything and everything, the season over by Christmas, the club saddled under a horrendous debt, and most of all - a lack of hope for the future.
Didn't we once have the copyright on all of that?

vote it up!

Yep, we set the standard for all thise things, but there is one error. The season over by Christmas? When was this, then? We've had either relegation or promotion to battle for the last 25 years, pretty much constantly. The stress, pressure and griping was borne out of either fear of relegation or of not being promoted.

It wouldn't surprise me given the fire-sale that occurred at Elland Road a couple of years ago. I'm sure part of the Fowler deal involved you paying his wages as well - guess we both lost out with that one the way things are panning out!
