I think you have hit the nail on the head in highlighting a lack of creativity in the squad, and also the tiredness factor. A couple of points id like to make and see what everyone else thinks:

1. The Elano factor-We have obviously not been the same since he returned from his injury and has had significantly less of an impact...do people think he has been something of a flash in the pan or is it more a case of him being the kind of player who needs to be playing in a solidly settled, confident team to have an effect?

2. The obvious bugbear that we have had all season: firepower up front. For the price we eventually ended up getting him for, I see Benjani as a decent signing, but certainly not the 20 goals a season striker that a team after a european place needs. Anyone have any ideas as to who they fancy getting in in the next transfer window (hopefully some of Franks millions may go toward this although im unsure of the status exactly...im not too hot on law and economics!)

3. The players look tired (understandable) and unmotivated at the moment... too much of a lackadaisical approach from management or simply inevitable in a relatively small and young squad?

Anyhow, these are all questions i am finding it difficult to work out, and i imagine the squad and management are too...perhaps explains our current form

Either way, chin up everyone, we've done the reds twice this season and probably risen above the expectations of just about every fan so far...

so keep the faith!

daniel bDaniel Bakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14999040769898004633noreply@blogger.com
